I live in Fairbanks, AK and my car has been having issues starting up lately. I know the cold can tamper with the car but that hasn't been an issue. It hasn't even been below 30 degrees yet. I got off of work this morning around 8, started my car and it just sputtered. I then let it sit for a bit, probably 15 minutes or so, then I tried again and that's when it started. It was roughly 40 degrees out when this happened. My car has been sitting there for 24 hours though because I just got off a long shift. I just tested the alternator by starting the car and removing the negative chord for the battery and it still ran just fine, so I'm hoping it's the battery and that a battery replacement will fix it. My car is a Mazda6 2007, winterized. I'm going to take it to an Auto shop tomorrow to get it diagnosed.... Read More »
