Resolved Question: Should I file SSDI in Alaska or Oregon?

I am a disabled vet with 3 combat tours. I have had a Stryker hatch come down and smash my hand, it now has limited range of motion. I used to work manual labor before joining the Army. My question is should I file SSDI in Fairbanks AK ( I will be here about a few more weeks) or Portland Oregon ( I will be living here ) I have researched and it seemed like Portland processes faster but you would think Alaska would be more military friendly and I would be more likely to get some help.
